Dear Leadership Participants and Faculty,

The Leadership Technology Task Force is planning to put together a set of workshops, guidelines and resources for using technology in the Leadership program.  We are referring specifically to the technology we use as participants in the program, rather than our use of technology in the workplace, whatever that might be.  So we expect this to focus on things like using the web for research, using our word processors for writing according to Andrews standards, using various Internet conferencing techniques, using the web for our personal home pages and pages for our regional groups, using our bulletin board and newsgroups, etc.

Since we all use a variety of tools, this is something we will need to work on together.  I have experience with the Microsoft products only, on the PC platform, but to be truly useful, we need to develop materials for all of the products commonly used.

As a starting point, we need to know what platforms and products you use, your level of proficiency in those products, and what topics you think we ought to focus on in developing resource materials.

Please reply to this message, and in the following survey, place an X against the most appropriate response.

Use the following scale for proficiency.

  0 : I have no experience
1 : I have limited experience, not used regularly
  2 : I have moderate experience
3 : I am a regular, frequent user, I am familiar with all commonly
      used functions
  4 : I am an expert user

Please do not ignore the comments section.  At the very minimum, please write here the tools, techniques, workshops, tutorials, etc that you would like to see developed.  If you have already developed some of these, for instance, tips on filtering and filing email, or styles for writing dissertations, please record that here also.
